Whitecaps Cottage is located on Des Rochers Road between Baraga and Chassell.
It is approximately ten miles north of Baraga and ten miles south of Chassell along US 41.
Des Rochers Road has two entrances. The cottage is closer to the south end of the road at Fire No. 11647.
The driveway is gray gravel and is just to the left of the green Fire No. sign.
Traveling north from Baraga, there is a green Des Rochers Rd sign marking a right turn. Turn to the right, drive north for 2/10ths of a mile, and then loop to the left. The second driveway on the right leads to Whitecaps Cottage.
Traveling south from Chassell, the north entrance to Des Rochers Road is marked with a green sign.
Turn left and follow the gravel road for approximately one mile.
The driveway is on the left (water) side marked as Fire No. 11647.
If you miss the north entrance, the south entrance is not marked.
There is, however, a large white satellite dish at the south
entrance to Des Rochers Rd. Turn left immediately past the dish.
